2015 Christmas Messege: "The Power of Conviction"

Dear brothers and sisters,

It’s my pleasure to write to you this messege of encouragment to go more extra miles in 2016.
Now, Can you remember how many times this year long, you encounter the presence and blessings of God in your life? It doesn't matter which God you believe and worship but, i mean the one so powerful to you and the one you consider superior (Spernatural being)! Anyway, somebody can say, i often talk to him(them) daily,i don't miss going to Church, Mosques, Shrines or Temples, yes i can believe this works but, when you are inside that big building, do you feel convicted on the wrongs you have done or you are doing? That is the greatest *star of a person having direct encounter with God or Supreme being.
Today, i went for the early morning prayer in my Church and the greatest thing i learnt was conviction by the word of God which was read today "faith and self control" was the piller of the teachings. Learning to live by what God wants you to do, help you to go extra miles and encounter billion blessings that you could never imagine. Just have a thought of youself “processes of sleeping and waking up everyday”, Don’t you think, that is a powerful conviction you should have all the time you wake and sleep and still think of what to do on that day..that is really amazing facts that many people have failed to recognise. Also, your dream depends on your personal everyday relationship with the creater, the most successfull people are those who don’t believe in their strength, talents, skills, knowledge and belongings but, the true encounter with God every day.
Some body may asked me how? but, i tell you, when I asked one of my friend on his encounter with God, what he told me was, he always know that he has encountered direct inspirations and contact with God, when he sees things happening when there is no hope in life or he has already given up on something.
Another powerful conviction is feelings to help the poor, the most opressed, the needy, the one next to you who cannot ask you things due to fear. Have compassion and support them, then the Lord our God who live and range forever will have compassion on you.
As we end this year 2015, i ask you to reflect and obey all the itimate convictions to refrend from doing bad things, here i mean *sin, and continue to be moved by the spirit to always do the right things that would inturn draw you more closer to God by the Power of Inner Change. I am not perfect or even good enough to change your life but, i believe with the Power of Inner change *you* would be convicted to do the will of our Creator.
Blessings to you all.
Merry Christmas and Prosperious New Year 2016
From:
Your brother,
Kenneth (Uganda)

" IYONS Journey TO Africa 2015"

       Article1/June/2015                                                                                                                                                                                                     IYONS Journey-AFRICA.

“Why I am for IYONS in Africa 2015”

By Mr. Rubangakene Kenneth, Coordinator IYONS  Africa, http://web.iyons.com/iyons-africa-2/

IYONS - International NGO’s Summit 2015 is one of the great step Change improvements in me as an Emerging Leader in Africa. I am so thankful to my key Mentors, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni (President of the Republic of Uganda), Teams at United Nations Human rights in Geneva Switzerland, Ms Ida Nganga (AU Youth Working Group Communications Officer), Mr. Okello Denis Godwin (Chairman Board of Directors-ESHO), Arch Bishop of Gulu Arch Diocese-His Grace John Baptist Odama, Arch Bishop Onesporo Ludolo of Choosen Evanzilical Revival and Rev.Sr.Angelina Akello for their courageous words and inspirations.

IYONS was born in me when I met Mr. Ansari Thamim, Head of International/National Delegation Coordination Committee in March 10th 2015. I am so grateful for him because he is among the top scholars and expertise in Youth Development world wide, and above all,  he is an Executive Member at You Think Foundation which comprised of renown scholars in Asian Region.

Mr. Ansari Thamim love peace and oneness of all youths Globally; with this love for others, he shared with me a lot about the need to bring all youths at one place and time: Why??

“Because;

  • There is great extinction of human species especially the world drivers which are the-YOUTHS.
  • There is a high unique sensation of freedom, peace and happiness which has become a new basic need of human life.
  • Furthermore, there is retardation in development of other parts of the world like Africa and continuous wars among the Islamic States.
  • Conclusively, The Youths are always forced to stand and support or address societal problems for example, take a look at Brutal Delhi Gange Rape of 2012,Malala-a young woman who stood against Taliban and Wangari Maathai in 1970 against rivals in Kenya Highland”

:-----------With these elaborations, we believe that IYONS shall be the last stop to attain world Peace because Youths shall blast all the locked doors of happiness. In addition, the global population of young people is high which hits up to 1.8 billion and 9 out of 10 of world young people reside in less developed countries. Therefore, if this youth population gets into an International Assembly with minimum support, we can unlock the potentials of the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, change agents and leaders. Globalization will be the key factor to develop the future generations”.

                     What IYONS shall entails!

This great gathering shall witness the presence of top Youth NGO Leaders around the world to represent their countries and continents. Be aware of the issues of developed, under developed nations and Look for the solutions. 120+ Countries shall attend this great event and will be hosted by India for 72 hours continuously so that all the Youths get opportunities to speak out. Entertainment shows, visit to nearby village, rally, workshop, marathons, prize winning and Awards shall be the order of the Day, and also, putting in mind that, the intention of this Summit is to “Inspire youths to work towards world peace

When he finished sharing this great vision, I was asked to share this IYONS Global Opportunity with the Inspiring African Youth Leaders through the strong chain link of Educational Support and Health Organization http://www.esho-uganda.com and African Union Youth Working Group and other African Youth Networks. I had no doubt in him because I am also National Coordinator of Green Youth Generation India.

And, for effective and efficient mobilization of Africa Youths, IYONS Africa Program (Network) was Initiated headed by a Coordinator. I am happy that I was the first Global Coordinator to be announced on 13th March 2015 at IYONS Global Board Meeting profiled http://web.iyons.com/iyons-africa-2/ .

I am also happy for the tremendous progress in IYONS Africa Coordination. With effective coordination, Africans participated in the first IYONS Prevent of “Salute the Mother Earth” in April 4th 2015, attended all meetings and selected their own Delegation for 2015 Summit from all sectors of education, health, entrepreneurship, Governance, wildlife conservation, peace and prosperity. Africans also appeared in first IYONS 2015 Brochure with Ms. Maria Difallah being the first African Delegate from Algeria.

In conclusion, I am 100% sure that IYONS is taking shape in Africa and the whole world. With this, I am glad to say, Africa will present 54 Top Emerging Youth Leaders at the Summit in July 24th-26th 2015 in Chennai India. The Key Stars are: Ms. Maria Diffallah (Algeria), Mr. Nelson Akerele (Nigeria), Mr.Keter Brian(Kenya), Mr. Indooshan Shanthakumaran (Sri Lanka), Mr.Philani Hlophe Dhlamini(Zimbabwe), Mr.Amb Paul Langar(Sierra Leone), Mr.Doukoure Serge(Cote D’Ivore), Mr.Dehkontee Cuppah(Botswana), Ms.Agnes Mgongo(Tanzania), Ms.Julien Nkolo Reteno(Gabon),Mr.Amb Moses Busher(Malawi)and Mr.Jarius Andrew Greaves(Liberia) and many others waiting to rock at IYONS 2015.

Be part of this great step Change in World’s History.

Looking forward to welcome you at Chennai,India.

Happy 52nd Independence Day

Messege from the Executive Director.

Welcome to the 52nd Aniversary of Uganda’s Independence.
Today, Country wide, Ugandan celebrate the day when they came out colonial rule in 1962 under the Leadership of Dr.Apollo Milton Obote, The President of the Republic of Uganda by then. He was such a patriotic and determined to lead Uganda to Independence; it was for the first time that the British Flag called the Union Jack was lowered and Uganda Flag raise, accompanied by Uganda National Anthem composed by George William Kakoma. His composition lifted Uganda and it was called the “Pearl of Africa”, Land of freedom, and our mother land. Uganda gain full control of its economy and became the people’s protectorate. Dr.Apollo Milton Obote then formed a political Party called Uganda People Congress which steered ownership of country by its people. The economy Uganda started to flourished, markets were open to international Marketers and tourism begun to boost. Being an Heterogeneous Nation, he was unable to contain and maintain his power for a long time, he was overthrown and it kept on and on up to the current ruling Government under the Leadership of HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the foundered of National Resistance Movement in 1986. It is the longest Government ruling Uganda since 1986. Great impact were realized in areas of Poverty eradication,Agriculture,Public sector, environment, country’s economy to mentioned but a few. This years’ celebration took place at Independence ground of Kololo Airstrip attended by East African Heads of State, African Heads of State and European countries. I appreciate the efforts made by our leaders towards receiving a Just Community.

Wang OO Program (Fire Camp with our Elders)

ESHO Uganda in partnership with Global Youth Association appreciate all the support towards ‘Wang OO Program which took place on the 8th October 2014 at Ker Kwaro Acholi,Gulu. The program was such a blessing to young people of Acholi as they got opportunity to share with their elders on cultural norms, social life, family, leadership and morals. Among the elders were: Prime Minister of Ker Kwaro Acholi Hon.Okin PP Ojara, Youth Minister Ker Kwaro Acholi,Hon.Okello, Elder Ambassador Mwaka, Elder Tom Lalobo,Pastor Janan Luom-Overseer of National Fellowship of Born Again Pentacostal Churches in Uganda,Elder Acellam Ongaya, Chairman LCV Gulu-Hon.Ojara Martin Mapenduzi, Woman MP Gulu-Hon.Aol Betty Ocan, Representaive from Summit Foundation,Unyama National Teachers’ College, Students from St. Patrick College, Acholi Parliamentary Group representative, Acholi in Diaspora and youths from the local communities of Gulu.
Key Messeges from Our Elders.
1.      Ambassador Mwaka: He is now 69 years old and have served in many Goverments, works, Ministries and Organizations. He has great collegues is service like Nyeko Pen Mogi-Chancillor Gulu University,Nyeko, Onono Onweng(Bishop of Kitgum Arcdiocese), at the time of independence(1962) there were only 6 million people in the whole of Uganda, Unversity of East Africa was the strongest at that time, he studied Primary education from Canon Lawrence National Teachers College and Literature at Makerere College,he was then appointed Minister of Forieghn affairs, he work hand in with George William Kakoma-The composer of Uganda National Anthem. Today, he is a Member in Poilce Authority,Member in the Governing Council of UNESCO, Chairman School Managemnet Committee Bwobanam Primary School. He is so passonate talking to young people of Acholi and guide them on the process of Uganda in regards to Acholi Cultural Norms and customs. In a research that was conducted by Vincent Olanya, it shows that Acholi are the highest education of the Uganda by 1962 but this is not the case now, why? Because we are not united. As a young person you must have a PLAN and work to achieve all those, think of all the 77 dishes Acholi people have and 8 Permanent Secretaries at the time of Independence, where have they gone? I request the Organizers to organize another day where could talk to our young people,….he said.
2.      Hon. Ojara Martin Mapenduzi:  For you to be a Hero, you must let yours be sharp than your mouth and think beyond today. If we see the past, our grands had thousand heads of cattle, thousand accres of land and thousand birds but, they donot exist today which means we have to change the way we view things-no more sleep but hard work. Lets change the way we do thinks in our culture. Historically, our grand parents laid a very good foundation but now it is swindling due to Party systems and influence, people tend to be asking useless questions other than listening to the messege. Fear has oppressed all cultural leaders and Acholi Political leaders. Consider Tom Mboya, a Jaluo in Kenya, he is so pronounced as well as all the Jaluo of Kenya why?Because of Education. Lets starts being solution oriented otherthan bitterness. Its now hard for you to live in Uganda id you don’t have (1)Knowledge (2)Mony/finance (3)Good heart.  Lets start thinking positively and we shouldn’t shut our gifts that God has given us to enble us move and utilize all the available opportunity.
3.      Pastor Janan Luom: In my own perspective, I see there is no love among the people of Acholi. We are known for telling the truth and it must continue. Our leaders in the Government have no vision for Acholi and they are so isolated today, they just wait when election is near then they start coming down with their waragi to confuse people. Prime Minister of Ker Kwaro Acholi should Organize a Forum that will bring all Acholi people and leaders to discuss “ACHOLI AGENDA”. There is no respect among boys and girls, elders and leaders. Youths are subjected to laziness. The Prime Minister should forward the voice of Religious leaders on the fight against Homosexuality. The important question to be answered is “How can Office of Ker Kwaro be relevant to the youths?”

YOUTHS Concerns to Ker Kwaro Acholi.
-          Humility be  embraced by the Prime Minister.
-          Certificate of Marriage.
-          Wife of the Paramount Chief of Acholi start training programs for women in Acholi.
-          Office of Youth Minister and Prime Minister should be the one calling youths not youths calling them like today.
-          Unitification of the 55 clans in Acholi Region.
-          Youth Minister should start implementing youth Programs as stipulated in the work plan.
-          Acholi Anthem be boost.
-          Initiation of environment Conservations programs like planting trees.
4.      Hon.Okin PP Ojara-Prime Minister Ker Kwaro Acholi:  He accepted youth concern and promised that people who are not fit to be in the Office shall be removed for the betterment of our Kingdom. The wife of the Paramount chief should start designing programs for women in Acholi, Marriage Certificate is awaiting Council meeting to be passed, Acholi Anthem be sung in all Acholi programs, youth minister to start implementing youths programs, planting trees should start with youths spearheading the program, Acholi should have one voice and should mandate Ker Kwaro Acholi to speak on their behaves instead of politicians. Conclusively, The Organizing Committee Team should come to his Office so that he can schedule appointment with the Paramount Chief of Acholi. You are all welcome to Ker Kwaro Acholi and its your Palace, feel  free once you are in the Palace.
