Chapter Six

                                                      

Hen she was chased, she remembered the phone number of the Uncle to his boy friend, she said to herself, “I will get him”. She called the Uncle explaining whatever happened at the father’s place and also where she is at that moment. The Uncle denied the allegation put forward by the girl. Since she couldn’t move anywhere, she has to travel to boyfriend’s place. Unfortunately, she got the door locked and nobody was at home but brothers have gone for work as usual.

Do you know what she did, she decided to enter the neighbour’s house with a terrible speed anext the boy’s house as far as a curtain but unfortunately, she got a boy preparing some tea. The boy was shocked but after some minutes he recovered from his shocked. He asked the lady, “Who are you? What are you doing here?”  The lady replied, please! Help me, I am being chased by the Police, they wanted to arrest me and my boyfriend so, hide me here so that they don’t get me. The boy said, this case is beyond. He went and called his Mother in the next room, the boy was almost crying because he has never seen that girl in his life that is the first time he is having a look at her.

When the mother came, she thought that, that was the girl friend to her son but unfortunately she found out that, that is not a girl friend to her son she used to know. From that time she became very gloomy in her face and felt out of her tempter and wanted to beat her there and then, but the son said, “ please, Mummy, don’t beat her, let’s first call the Landlady to come and settle this case”. At that time, the landlady was in the market and couldn’t access home easily but, they phone her and she replied instantly. When she came she started questioning her:

Who are you?

What are you doing here?

Who told you to come here?

What has happened to you?

She started giving fake excuses that; she has come to her husband who recites in that area. The Landlady replied, that is a lire, this boy has never had a wife before and so if you are saying that you are his wife, please pack your things and leave  and if he comes, we shall settle the matter. She refused to leave but, the Landlady ordered the youths in that area to drag her off. The lady was left in dilemma and total moment of confusion.

People of that are were surprised on what happened. Others said, if this was my daughter, I would slaughter her straight away  because she has ashamed all the members before the community and all those who should have not understood what is going on; but, others said, let’s forgive because most girls at that stage of adolescent experienced such kind of body changes and they may not know that, those are part of body changes which needs to be controlled. I think this person who gave this last idea should be educated or a learnet, but, all the same, whatever idea you give should be reflected at your work. I think, the lady herself may not realise it at that moment, but in years to come she will feel it.
